Wilkes County’s oldest farmers market is opens late April through October at the Yadkin Valley Marketplace (842 CBD Loop) in downtown North Wilkesboro.
The market operates two days a week, Tuesday’s 3:30p-5:30p (starting in June) and Saturdays 7:30a-12noon, and features 20 plus vendors who sell locally grown and raised produce and meat, valued-added items like bread and cheese and hand-made crafts.
Often times musicians meet up at the market for an impromptu jam. Its truly a community gathering place and source of pride for the county.
WCFM accepts vendors that grow, produce or handmake items in Wilkes and adjacent counties. Things like dairy goods, meat, eggs, plants, veggies, jewelry and crafts.
If you're interested in becoming a market vendor, please see attached application and rules. Reach out via email or phone for more information on participating.
