Now through July 31st, the Town of North Wilkesboro Police Department and the Town of Wilkesboro Police Department will be competing to see who can collect the most diapers. All diapers collected will be donated to the Wilkes Child Abuse Prevention Team/Our House. This agency is in constant need of diapers having assisted over 200 families with diapers this summer. This project is being led by Alicia Roberts for her Senior Project with the support of Wilkes Youth Life Development's Teen Action Council.
As part of the diaper drive, the agency that collects the least diapers will have their Chief or designee sit in a dunking booth, in uniform at the winning town's August Concert event and be dunked. Throws will be $2 or three throws for $5. All proceeds will go to support Wilkes Youth Life Development. This endeavor will help two agencies in our community, Wilkes Child Abuse Prevention Team and Wilkes Youth Life Development. This diaper drive will benefit hundreds of families in Wilkes, and help a student with her Senior Project.

Diapers can be dropped off at the North Wilkesboro Police Department through July 31st Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM.
