Brushy Mountain Apple Festival 

The annual Brushy Mountain Apple Festival is held to celebrate the apple harvest from the nearby Brushy Mountains. It is one of the largest single-day arts and crafts fairs in the Southern United States. The festival features music, dancing, artwork, crafts, and food traditional to the Southern Appalachian Mountains.

Concerts on the Deck 

Window World presents a free outdoor concert series at the Yadkin Valley Marketplace. Held the third Saturday of the month June through October. Concerts are free, 6:00pm to 10:00pm., rain or shine. Bring a chair, and pets on a leash are okay. No coolers. Food vendors on site and restaurants walkable.

Light Up Downtown

A holiday kick-off festival held the Friday before Thanksgiving in the downtown district. Shops open late, dance troupes performing, live music, craft, art and vendors too. It’s a great way to welcome the holidays. Event is 6P-9P. 

MerleFest

MerleFest is an annual Americana music festival, which is held the last weekend in April, and is hosted by guitar player Doc Watson. The festival, founded in 1988, now attracts crowds exceeding 85,000 in number, making it the largest folk music festival in the United States. The music is spread across 15 different stages and four days.

Wilkes County Cruise-Ins 

Cruise-ins held the second Saturday of the month in downtown North Wilkesboro April through October from 3 to 7 p.m. These events are presented by the Wilkes County Cruisers club and held on the CBD loop.

Downtown Art Walk

A seasonal event in partnership with Wilkes Art Gallery. Local and regional artists hold demonstrations at participating downtown businesses in conjunction with opening reception nights for new exhibits at WAG.
